Liam Payne’s ex-fiancé Maya Henry wrote a perilous, eerily prophetic balcony scene in an inspired-by-reality novel just months before the One Direction star tragically fell to his death in Argentina. The 31-year-old former boyband member fatally fell from the balcony of his third-floor room at CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday. Payne’s body was found by police in the courtyard after receiving a 911 call from hotel staff raising concerns about an aggressive man who may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Henry and Payne broke up in 2022 and she released ‘Looking Forward’ in May, a story that was inspired by real events but used invented names, just five months before Payne died. The fictional circumstances are eerily prophetic of Payne’s death. The book follows the volatile relationship between high-fashion model Mallory Hunt and former 5Forward British band member Oliver Smith.

Henry wrote one scene in which Smith behaves erratically on drugs and repeatedly hits himself “again and again, working himself into a frenzy”. Mallory attempts to stop Smith from causing damage but to no prevail. “Before I can even touch him, he’s on his feet,” Henry wrote Mallory saying.

“He looks at me for a split second, then turns on his heels and races straight for — Oh no. F**k. The balcony.

” At that point, Smith threatens to kill himself in the novel by saying, “Gonna f–king kill me...

I want to die.” Henry’s character then falls off .
