Pawan Kalyan opened up about Karthi’s reaction and apology in the Tirupati Laddu controversy. A few weeks ago, Karthi was asked about the Tirupati laddu controversy at one of his promotional events. The Tamil actor tried his best to avoid the question but ended up laughing.
The incident did not go down well with Kalyan. Eventually, Karthi apologised and the Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM accepted it as well. In an interview with Tamil channel Thanthi TV, Pawan opened up about the incident.
He said he’s aware Karthi is a devotee of the temple and added that it was not only him but a lot of other people who laughed behind him. He called the incident an ‘insult’. However, it seems like Pawan has forgiven the actor.
“See, I’ll tell you what happened. Karthi is a devotee. I have seen him and Suriya visiting Tirupati temple.
He made a light-hearted speech. He did not speak anything wrong. It’s not wrong in that sense.
But, he knows what I meant. Actors are somebody who everyone looks up to. When you convey a message or crack a joke, it becomes a practice for everyone,” he said.
When asked about the apology, he said, “Lots of people sitting behind him laughed at his remark. It’s an insult.” The journalist asked Pawan Kalyan about the reports doing the rounds suggesting that Karthi apologised due to the repurcussions to the Tamil film industry.
The actor-turned-politician said, “No, no. I look at Tamil film industry as my brothers. My friends are all born and brough.
