Lucas Bahdi was losing in lopsided fashion until he uncorked a hellacious combination that demolished Ashton “H2O” Sylve in a potential knockout of the year contender on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry card from Tampa. It was one of the most shocking finishes in recent memory with Bahdi scoring a dramatic finish after he getting dominated throughout the majority of the fight.

The end came after a wild exchange saw Bahdi pop Sylve with a stiff right hand that the 20-year-old prospect just didn’t see coming. WHAT. A.

com/bzEoHjz86D With his opponent already dazed, Bahdi threw a vicious left hook that connected flush on the chin and sent Sylve crashing face first on the canvas. The end came at 2:27 in the sixth round. “I knew it was going to come,” Bahdi said about the knockout.

“I knew his head’s in the center all the time. He’s a great fighter. I think I stole the show tonight.

I said [to him] keep your head up, kid. You’ve got a bright future. Keep at it.

” The knockout was legendary but the circumstances surrounding how it happened make it that much more impressive. Through five plus rounds, Sylve was winning every second in every exchange, more than tripling the total number of punches landed. There were moments where it felt like Bahdi was almost too tough for his own good as he just kept eating shots but somehow refused to back down.

The momentum shifted in a hurry late in the sixth round when Sylve decided to stand in the pocked and trade with Bahdi, which is what ultimately cost him the fight. With both fighters throwing heavy leather, it was Bahdi who landed the combination that put Sylva down and out on the canvas. It was a scary moment as Sylve laid motionless for several moments before he finally got back to a stool and eventually left the ring under his own power.

As for Bahdi, he remains undefeated after picking up the biggest win of his career and now he’s hoping for a spot on the event later this year where Paul is expected to clash with Mike Tyson in November..
