Hear a Sammy Hagar tribute in Laughlin, watch a patriotic boat parade or join a luau in Bullhead City, cruise downtown Kingman and stay for a stick pony derby this weekend. • • • J.C.

Martinez has slid into the “Red Rocker’s” shoes and wears them well as frontman of Three Lock Box: The Ultimate Sammy Hagar Tribute. Martinez captures the vocals and the energy that draws comparisons to the real “Red Rocker,” which spurred him to create this tribute in 2016. His band covers Hagar’s entire career, from Montrose to his solo work and time with Van Halen.



Their portrayal is so spot on that Hagar took notice of the group and jumped in to sing a couple of songs with them on stage at a show last year. Take a rockin’ ride back to the ‘80s with Three Lock Box, performing at the Riverside Resort in Laughlin at 8 p.m.

tonight-Sunday. • • • Katherine Landing Marina at Lake Mohave is hosting a Patriot’s Day Boat Parade at 8:30 a.m.

Saturday. The beach will be open to the public that day to celebrate the U.S.

A. and watch the boats decorated in red, white and blue. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in the boat parade.

Guests can take part in games, face painting and more activities. Hot dogs will be sold for $2 and hamburgers for $3. Bring the family and enjoy a patriotic day at the lake.
