'We are so exited to meet you, baby, and to add a little more craziness to our lives.' The post was accompanied by photos of Becky showing off her baby bump with Albie, who she is seen cradling while he places a hand on her belly in one image.
Later that day Cummins and Albie were seen out and about in Sydney's east as she showed off her baby bump in a singlet while they walked in park after hiding it under a jumper on what was an unseasonably warm day. On Wednesday, Becky also posted a shot to Instagram showing her perspective as she looked down at her belly with Albie in tow, accompanied by the caption, 'I love this view.' She also uploaded an image of Albie learning the alphabet at their home in Sydney's east, along with the words, 'Thank you for all the kind messages.
I'm getting through them, they all mean so much.' Pat Cummins' teammate Mitch Marsh was one of the first to congratulate the couple on the heartwarming announcement, as were cricket star Travis Head's wife Jessica, Aaron Finch's wife Amy, Usman Khawaja's wife Rachel and Becky's sister Kara. In a great piece of timing given the couple's wonderful news, Pat is currently taking a break from the game to ensure he's rested for Australia's upcoming summer of cricket, which will see the team take on India in a highly anticipated Test series. The two months off he's been given by Cricket Australia is his first proper break from the sport in almost two years. Instead of playing in Australia's white-ball tour of England and Scotland next month, he'll prepare for the India series by bowling in one-day matches against Pakistan in November.
Last November he was pictured having a heartwarming reunion with Becky and Albie after returning from Australia's World Cup triumph over India. The 31-year-old looked relaxed, refreshed and overjoyed to see his loved ones as the trio caught up for breakfast at a cafe at beachside Clovelly in Sydney's east, just a short trip from the stunning $9.5million home the couple bought in Bronte in March 2001 .
During last year's Ashes series, Cummins opened up about the changing dynamic in the Australian team, which has increasingly seen the stars' partners and children join them on tour - as Albie and Becky did during the Tests against England. The soon-to-be-mum-of-two shared her excitement at the wonderful news in another Instagram post (pictured) 'Basically, none of the partners were there for the first week or so, and then they all came in at the same time and it was great,' he told the ABC . 'You saw everyone go from single dads who go and watch whatever movie they want each night or go and have a beer or play golf, to suddenly everyone's got their backpacks on, pushing prams down the road.
When Albie was born in October 2021, Pat and Becky released a heartfelt video capturing their journey to becoming first-time parents. The video started with Becky telling a thrilled Pat she was pregnant, before documenting her growing baby bump, scans, and eventual arrival at the hospital to give birth. Becky announced she was expecting Albie in a post on Instagram in April that year, sharing a photo of herself cradling her emerging baby bump.
