Saturday, August 24, 2024 Park Road rail station is undergoing a significant transformation as it adopts the new name Boggo Road rail station, aimed at improving navigation for Queensland commuters. This rebranded Boggo Road station now serves as a key public transport interchange, seamlessly connecting with the Boggo Road busway. The enhanced hub offers easy transfers between the Beenleigh, Gold Coast, and Cleveland rail lines, as well as busway services, all from one central location.

Further boosting the station’s role as a major transit point, the Cross River Rail project will introduce two new underground rail platforms at Boggo Road, increasing its connectivity and importance within the network. Translink’s decision to rename the station follows feedback from customers who expressed a desire for a unified name. This change has been developed in collaboration with Queensland Rail and the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority, receiving strong endorsement from stakeholders.

The renaming process is underway, with initial signage already in place. Full updates to platform signage and computer systems are anticipated to be completed over the next six to 12 months..
