A park has been reopened after a £65,000 revamp with new equipment. Meadowlands Play Area in West Green, Crawley, has been refurbished as part of Crawley Borough Council’s playground scheme. New equipment at the play park includes a tipi carousel, steel swing frame consisting of an inclusive swing seat, cradle swing and ‘you and me’ swing, three springers, a roundabout and a junior multi-play tower with two slides.

Children play games at the fun day (Image: Jon Rigby) To celebrate, Crawley Play Service hosted a fun day at the park with Crawley community groups in attendance. 10 parks were hallmarked for a revamp, with six of them now completed and the rest to be done by early 2025.



Crawley Borough councillor Chris Mullins, cabinet member for leisure and wellbeing, said: “We are pleased to have completed this refurbishment of Meadowlands Play Area and it was great to see the local children enjoying the new play equipment at the recent fun day.”.
