NEW DELHI: Simone Biles departs from Paris feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride in her achievements. As a three-time Olympian, she continues to demonstrate her unparalleled prowess in gymnastics while maintaining her poise and elegance. During the Olympic Games, Biles, at the age of 27, secured gold medals in the team, all-around, and vault events.

Additionally, she earned a silver medal in the floor exercise competition. In an interview with Reuters on Tuesday, the decorated athlete, who now boasts a total of 11 Olympic medals, shared that she is still absorbing the experiences of the past few weeks. Nevertheless, she expressed satisfaction in her unwavering resolve and the outcomes she achieved.

“(I am) just showing my strength through and through and just coming out on top each and every time so I’m just really proud of that,” she said. Biles, a four-time Olympic gold medalist and bronze winner at the Rio Games in 2016, has undergone significant personal growth since her teenage triumph. Despite facing challenges during the Tokyo Games in 2021, where she withdrew due to a mental block known as the "twisties", Biles has emerged as a resilient and self-aware athlete.

When reflecting on her current self, Biles confidently stated: "A hard worker, dedicated, strong, beautiful, smart." These words encapsulate the qualities she has cultivated over the years, showcasing her determination and personal development. Beyond her individual achievements, Biles has also taken on the role of a supportive teammate.

Sunisa Lee, one of her fellow gymnasts, has praised Biles for her ability to boost confidence and provide guidance behind the scenes, highlighting her leadership skills and positive influence within the team. "Having (my teammates) there to lean on was absolutely amazing and I wouldn't have made it through without them," Lee told Reuters..
