Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) wing Director-General CV Anand here on Wednesday formed a new committee to look into the new jurisdictions of the officers in the State as per work load and to update the 30-year old manuals defining the wing’s functioning. Anand conducted a State-level review meeting with over 120 officers at the headquarters in BRKR building here. In the meeting, he unveiled a new logo of the department with a caption – “Assess, Avert and Advice” after all the officers approved it.

Highlighting the role, functions and importance of the department, Anand reviewed the performance of all the Regional V&E Officers (RVEO) for the last three years. Further, he opined that there was a delay in actions on government officials on vigilance reports submitted by the department. He discussed the jurisdictions of the present RVEO units, which are 30 years old, and opined that they be revised as per the developments of the present day based on the government schemes and development activities.



A committee was formed to look into the new jurisdictions as per work load and also to update the 30-year-old manuals defining V&E functioning. He instructed all the officers to work boldly and sincerely so that the government revenues are protected and workable and meaningful vigilance reports and appraisal reports apart from sending alert notes with definitive action be initiated..
