Now a new report has shed light on why Pamela Anderson does not appear in the four-part docu-series, After Baywatch: Moment In The Sun. TMZ reports that while Anderson, 57, doesn't appear in the documentary, she was offered the opportunity to participate in the program. Insiders shared that Pamela has no issues with any of the original cast members and has always appreciated the role the show has played in her life.



But now, years after she last inhabited the role of lifeguard C.J. Parker, Pamela is in a brand new era that has seen her reach new career heights.

A new report has shed light on why Pamela Anderson does not appear in the four-part docu-series, After Baywatch: Moment In The Sun; pictured on the show She's appearing in The Naked Gun remake and starring in The Last Showgirl, a film that sees Pamela play a seasoned Las Vegas showgirl who suddenly finds herself without a job after her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run. As a dancer in her fifties, her character struggles with what to do next and tries to repair a strained relationship with her daughter, after years of focusing mostly on her showgirl family. The film was directed by Gia Coppola and stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Brenda Song, Billie Lourd, and Kiernan Shipka.

Pamela is the only original cast member missing out on appearing on the docu-series. She was absent from the premiere and her name was missing in a press release for the show. While the show advertises a never-aired interview with Pamela, TMZ notes it wasn't filmed recently.

The premiere was a who's who of the Baywatch world, with the likes of Carmen Electra, Alexandra Paul and Nicole Eggert in attendance. At the premiere, Eggert - who was also a producer on the show - revealed Pamela was unable to take part in the show due to a prior commitment. Pamela has found herself in a brand new era of her life that has seen her reach new career heights; pictured in March 'She was working on her own documentary,' Nicole told Entertainment Tonight.

It's also unclear if Baywatch alum David Hasselhoff will be appearing in the show - his name was not listed on a press release about the docu-series, however TMZ reports the actor did take part in an interview for the series back when it was originally titled 'Baywatch: The Documentary.' Baywatch, which first aired in 1989, followed the lives of a group of lifeguards patrolling the beaches of Los Angeles County. The four-part series is set to stream on Hulu on August 28, and will feature a never-aired Pamela interview in addition to cast home videos and never-before-seen footage.

The press release boasts that the series is 'a nostalgic and insightful exploration of Baywatch, the cultural phenomenon that defined an era, and an unprecedented look into the stars who brought the world’s most famous lifeguards to life.' Four-part series After Baywatch: Moment In The Sun is set to stream on Hulu on August 28 Through dozens of new cast interviews and never-before-seen footage, this docuseries unpacks how the show captured the mythology of California’s beach culture, set physical beauty standards for an entire generation, and capitalized on the adage 'sex sells."' There are several listed cast members and producers who were confirmed to be interviewed for the project including: Nicole, Carmen, Alexandra, Traci Bingham, Erika Eleniak, Billy Warlock, Gregory Alan Williams, David Chokachi, Jeremy Jackson, Michael Newman, Michael Berk and Douglas Schwartz.
