The wedding and holiday seasons are in full swing, and our social media feeds are filled with snaps of people dressed in their finest and most stunning ethnic attire. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan decided to join in on the festive revelry, posting pictures on her Instagram wearing a green Kalidar set by Indian designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula. The designer duo behind their eponymous label, Rimple & Harpreet, really set the ethnic wear moodboard this year, especially since they were also the costume designers for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period-drama series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.

The sheer opulence of their outfits was dazzling. When Mahira wore one of their creations, she looked absolutely gorgeous. The deep green georgette kurta was paired with an earthy red silk salwar.

According to the official RAH website, "The base print of the Kalidar has been recreated from archival resist-dyed cotton fragments, while the embroideries are referenced from a mid-19th century women’s robe (possibly from the Kutch province) and rendered using kasab dori, resham marodi ka kaam, gota-patti, sequins, and pearls." A silk tissue dupatta completed her look. This Kalidar suit is priced at ₹85,750.

Styled by Maneka Harisinghani, Mahira wore a maang tikka and statement earrings. Her hair was braided with a parandi. She also stacked glass bangles which served perfectly with her ethnic look.
