It’s a reflective time of year; it’s also PNC Championship week. And so I’m thinking back to a video that went viral this time last year, in the lead-up to the PNC: Padraig Harrington on how to introduce your kid to golf. Harrington’s soliloquy was inspired by his son Ciaran , his playing partner for the week — and what he did right and wrong in Ciaran’s beginnings with the game.

Let them do what they like when they’re there, have a bit of fun if they want to hit one shot, two shots, 10 shots, play in the bunker, look in the water, or whatever they wanna do, let them do, and generally bring them home before they get tired.

” 2. Quit while you’re ahead. “So the best thing you can do with a kid.
