Pa Ranjith is known for making promising films in Kollywood , including the Superstar Rajinikanth starrer ‘Kabali’. He recently collaborated with Chiyaan Vikram for the historic action drama ‘ Thangalaan ’, which hit theaters on Independence Day last week in the South. It is now gearing up for a Hindi version release on September 6.
In a recent chat, he mentioned that he will be doing a Hindi film soon. Ranjith, in an interview with Pinkvilla, was asked about his upcoming Hindi film, which may or may not begin production immediately after ‘Thangalaan’.
Earlier, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar were reportedly in talks for the project. Ranjith confirmed that he has signed a project titled ‘Birsa Munda’, and the script is nearly finalized, co-written with a friend. ‘I signed one project.
It's titled ' Birsa Munda ,’ he clarified. He added that they are currently deciding on the cast and will announce the details soon. 'Right now we are deciding artists and soon we will announce' he stated.
During the same conversation, Chiyaan Vikram humorously noted that director Pa. Ranjith has the luxury of choosing from 5-6 actors for his next project, highlighting the director's popularity. The remark prompted laughter from everyone.
Following this, Ranjith expressed his eagerness to work with Vikram again. They have already announced ‘Thangalaan 2’..
