Pioneer Nigerian hitamaking duo P Square are, for the umpteenth time, beefing again and headed for yet another split after their reunion a few years ago. Peter Okoye alias Mr. P took to social media detailing his current fallout with his twin brother Paul Okoye alias Mr.

Rudeboy by means of a lengthy statement that lays bare their still severed relationship in spite of a much raved about union a few years that now seems as good as done. In the accusation laden statement, Peter says that his brother Paul has been disrespecting him and discrediting his contributions to their success in interviews. He accuses him and their elder brother Jude of being in cahoots, plotting on him and even disrespecting his wife while at it.

“In your recent interviews, you claimed that you wrote and sang 99% of all P-SQUARE songs and discredited me by saying that our song with Tl “EjeaJo,” which I wrote, was a failure. You went as far as using the YouTube views to discredit me once again You never acknowledged the other songs like “Get-Squared,” “Bizzy Body,” “Personally,” “Roll It, “Temptation,” “Alingo,” “More than a Friend,” “Shekini, “Say Your Love,” “Gimme Dat,” “Senorita,” “IGBEdu and a few others. Were these songs also considered failures as well,” Reads the statement.

Mr. P further accuses his brother of selfishness, referencing how Mr. Rudeboy takes all the credit for their music and success, as if P is nonexistent.

“Rather than joining forces with me to reclaim our number 1 spot in the music industry, you chose to team up with Jude to claim the number 1 spot in the P-SQUARE group, always looking for opportunities to marginalize and humiliate me. You are always claiming to be P-SQUARE’s songwriter, composer, producer, singer, backup vocalist, in fact you are everything including P-SQUARE’s video director, band, promoter, manager, even the choreographer. You are the Author and Finisher of P-SQUARE! In fact, I dash you 100% of everything instead of the 99% you claim,” He writes.

The two brothers have long been at loggerheads despite their iconic status in the music industry and being pioneers of what is Nigeria’s Afrobeats genre today. The “No One Like You” and “Beautiful Onyinye” hitmakers enjoyed international success during their peak in the late 00s and early 10s, scoring collaborations with rappers like Rick Ross and TI. Recently, Paul accused Peter of masterminding second breakup saying the latter sent him a text saying he was longer interested in the group.

He also accused him of reporting to Nigerian authorities where he was summoned but later on cleared. This would be the second time that the group is disbanding. 0 SHARES Share Tweet.
