Pune: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday slammed the opposition parties in Maharashtra for criticising Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme . "The opposition is rattled by the success of the scheme and they have realised that they are losing the assembly polls in Maharashtra," Yadav said. The Madhya Pradesh chief minister was in Pune to visit Shivsrushti theme park in Ambegaon and Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini.

Interacting with newspersons after his visit to Shivsrushti, Yadav came down heavily on the opposition in Maharashtra. "The opposition did nothing for the common people. While they were in power, they only indulged in looting public money.

Now, having found that the Ladki Bahin scheme of the present state govt is getting popular, they have realised that they are on the verge of losing assembly polls in Maharashtra," Yadav said. ‘I come from Madhya Pradesh where they (Congress) have been kept away from govt for decades. Once they accidentally managed to form the govt, but it lasted only for a short period and they are again in the opposition.

When it comes to Maharashtra, the people of the state are more aware, and they understand the contribution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP for the country and the state. Therefore, I am confident that the people will support the BJP-led alliance for forming the govt in Maharashtra once again," the Madhya Pradesh chief minister said. Madhya Pradesh was the first state in the country which introduced the Mukh.
