JAMAICAN-BORN and Canada-based reggae singer Onique tops the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart with This Too Shall Pass. This is his third entry on the chart. In 2022 he charted with Worthy and Big Billi , a collaboration with Blistas.

This too Shall Pass was released in March via Neqz Records. Onique (real name Onique Clarke) moved to Toronto, Canada, in 2013. He is originally from the district of Mount Moriah, a small community in St Ann which is located between Cave Valley and Spaulding.

He attended Edwin Allen High school. “I have only started doing music professionally for about four years now. I originally started producing for others but given how I normally coach them when they are recording, I was constantly told that I should venture into the artiste realm also.

So, I entered like three years ago, and it has been great,” Onique shared. Onique has produced songs for the likes of singer Tiffany Malvo, multi-Juno award-winning singjay Exco Levi, as well as Ginjah, Shane O, among others. Among his projects are the Million Smiles rhythm, Pure Soul rhythm and the Wall Fire rhythm.

On other regional reggae charts, Wiseman by Damian Marley spends a second week in the number one position on the Foundation Radio Network (New York) Reggae chart. Meanwhile, Everything I Own by Sleepy Wonder steps up from number six to four, while I Won’t Last a Day Without You by Jozee and In the Ghetto by Grub Cooper enter at numbers 29 and 30, respectively.
