One popular Cork hotel has become a must-have honeymoon venue for married couples around the world, according to the latest stats. Google searches for 'romantic getaways in Ireland' have seen a massive increase so far this year - and while holiday-goers have shown huge interest in venues across the country, one spot in the Rebel County is a clear favourite for newlyweds. The luxurious Montenotte Hotel is currently ranked as 'The Best Value Honeymoon Hotel' in Ireland on Tripadvisor, just beating out the Galway Bay Hotel and the Harvey's Point in Co.

Donegal. The popular Cork city venue is currently sitting at a five-star rating on the renowned travel site - but that should be no surprise to Leesiders. The Montenotte also boasts a stunning number of accolades - recently winning the Tripadvisors Traveller Choice Award 2024 - and offers a rooftop bar, a cinema and popular afternoon tea and private dining options. Earlier this month, the hotel made waves once again after their team unveiled luxurious new 'treehouse' suites as part of €7.5m investment.

The 'Woodland Suite Experience' starts at €680 for a weeknight stay and can go as high as €750 per night for those looking to spend a weekend there. The new rooms give guests a chance to enjoy a peaceful stay close to nature while still enjoying all the perks of a city break, as the hotel is only a 20-minute walk from the city centre. The suites have a fantastic view over Leeside and those staying there will have access to a beautiful residents-only clubhouse where they can enjoy all the delicacies the hotel has to offer.
