Paige Hall, from Chesham, sadly lost her life in the early hours of Tuesday morning [July 23], leaving behind her mum, dad, brother and young son. The much-loved woman was best known in the town for founding the Acts of Kindness Chiltern And Surrounding Facebook page which has gathered more than 19,000 followers. The page has played a huge role in Chesham and beyond, which has seen members of the public donate money, food, and goods to numerous causes and people in need.

A GoFundMe page has been set up in honour of her memory, with an initial £3,000 goal being set. This was achieved just days later, with the total amount now nearly touching £12,000. At the time of writing, £11,389 has been raised.

A statement that was published by her mum, Jeanette Steward, on August 8, reads: “Just wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who have so generously donated to this GoFundMe. “I’m honestly overwhelmed with the love and generosity of you all and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. “I know no amount of money can ever bring my beautiful Paige back, or give Jenson his mummy back, but all monies received will be going into a Trust Fund for Jenson to use when he is older.

“It will be the last thing his mummy can give him. “He will know it’s from his mummy with the help of all the people who knew her! Loved her! Or knew of her! “And all the good she did in this world, God bless every one of you for donating to my beautiful special grandson. “We appreciate every single one of you, and I know Paige would be so touched by all of this.

“My girl was one in a million.” In addition to the donations, the 25-year-old’s friends, family and hundreds of people whose lives she touched gathered on Prestwood Common to release lanterns into the sky in a memorial ceremony on Sunday, July 28. Numerous people attended the event, with many sharing stories about the positive impact Paige had on their lives.

The mother was an active charity worker, helping to raise money for a number of local non-profits and providing children in hospital with Easter Eggs and Christmas gifts. To donate, go to www.gofundme.
