Prayagraj: The Allahabad high court has sought a brief affidavit from secretary of Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission ( UPSSSC ), Gomtinagar, Lucknow within a week and directed it to present the original OMR sheet of petitioners who appeared for forest guard and wild life guard recruitment exam of 2019 in a sealed envelope. The next hearing of the petition will be on Sep 30. The petitioners had claimed in their appeal that they had obtained marks required for selection but were not selected, therefore, the OMR sheet should be scrutinised.

Hearing the writ petition filed by Ramashankar and another, Justice J J Munir fixed Sep 30, as next date of hearing. The petitioners said they belonged to other backward class (OBC) and economically weaker section (EWS) and were eligible for the post. Three OMR sheets of the written examination were given on Aug 21, 2022, of which, one was of the petitioner, one of the treasury office and one of the commission.



The documents were verified but the petitioner was not selected. The petitioner also submitted a representation to the commission on Sep 2, 2024 but no information was provided to him. In its order dated Sep 21, the court directed that this order be communicated to secretary, UP Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Gomtinagar, Lucknow through the civil judge (senior division), Lucknow by the registrar (compliance) of Allahabad high court.
