Justin Baldoni is currently enjoying the success of his latest film, It Ends With Us . Now playing in theatres, it features Blake Lively and Brandon Sklenar in key roles. The movie is a project based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover.
In a recent chat with Elle magazine , Justin, who also directed the film, shared an emotional moment from when he first read the book. He revealed that his wife, Swedish actress Emily Baldoni, was there to console him when he was deeply moved by the story. The actor-director said, “I first read the book over five years ago.
By the end, I was just in tears , sobbing like snot coming out of my nose. My wife looks over at me like, ‘Are you okay?'. I was so moved by Lily's story and I just thought that this could be a film, and if done right, it could really help a lot of people.

During the same conversation, Justin Baldoni described It Ends With Us as a “beautiful” and “magical” project that contributed significantly to his growth as an actor, director and person.
He shared, “There are all these things that happen every day on set, there's always friction that happens when you make a movie like this. Then at the end of the day, it's that friction, I believe, that creates the beautiful art. Everything in life needs friction to grow.
And look, we created something so beautiful and so magical, and it was hard, and it was worth it at the same time. And I grew so much as both a filmmaker, an actor and as a person throughout this experience.” It Ends With Us tells the story of Lily Bloom, played by Blake Lively, a woman grappling with the recent death of her abusive father.
In the middle of this emotional turmoil, she meets neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin Baldoni, and the two fall in love. However, after they marry, Ryle's dark side begins to emerge. It's heartening to see the process that Justin Baldoni undertook to bring the movie to life.
