Saturday, September 7, 2024 The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has announced plans to host the ‘Marhaba Dhofar’ event aimed at attracting tourists from regional and international markets. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote tourism in the Dhofar Governorate . Haitham bin Mohammed Al Ghassani , Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry, shared that the ‘Marhaba Dhofar’ event is set to take place with the collaboration of tourism sector partners from both Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia .

The goal of the event is to enhance tourism cooperation between the two nations and highlight the unique tourism offerings of Dhofar , including its famed Sarb season and winter tourism opportunities. The event is expected to bring together 50 Saudi tourism companies and 15 prominent media professionals from leading media outlets in Saudi Arabia. The programme will feature discussion sessions , business meetings between Omani and Saudi tourism companies, and visits to key tourist sites and attractions in the Dhofar Governorate.



The event aims to promote the region’s tourism potential, particularly during the winter season, and strengthen bilateral tourism partnerships. With a packed agenda, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Dhofar, ensuring a deeper collaboration between the two countries’ tourism industries..
