Sunday, August 25, 2024 Oman Air welcomes a new Boeing B787-9 to its fleet, enhancing passenger comfort and expanding its network with advanced aircraft and award-winning service. Oman Air recently welcomed a new Boeing B787-9 aircraft, the initial delivery from a trio expected this year. This latest addition, a part of a broader agreement to acquire eight additional planes by 2027, is the tenth Dreamliner to join the airline’s fleet.

Renowned for its cutting-edge design and superior fuel efficiency, the B787-9 also boasts spacious cabins and large windows, enhancing passenger comfort. The aircraft landed in Muscat on a Friday afternoon, having departed from Boeing’s manufacturing site in Seattle. “We’re excited to welcome our new Boeing B787-9 to our aircraft line-up, which aligns with our strategy to fly a modern and common Oman Air fleet.



It allows us to maintain efficiency in operations, optimise maintenance costs and ensure a seamless and consistent experience for our guests,” said Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer . “Our latest addition to the fleet is also consistent with our focus on transforming our airline towards financial sustainability, while upholding our reputation as a world-class carrier and supporting Oman’s ambitions to increase tourism and connectivity in the years to come.” The latest aircraft from Oman Air boasts a dual-class layout, accommodating 30 passengers in Business Class and 258 in Economy Class, and is set to operate across the airline’s global routes.
