Paris Olympics gold medalist of the Men’s Javelin event, Arshad Nadeem was recently seen meeting a man designated as a terrorist by the United States. In the video that is presently going viral over the internet, Pakistan’s Nadeem can be seen meeting and chatting with Mohammad Harris Dhar. According to Indian Security Grid reports, Dhar is a joint secretary of the Mili Muslim League (MML), a political front of the proscribed terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
However, it is yet to be confirmed if the video is off after Nadeem won gold at the Paris Olympics or before. It is believed that the MML is an outfit floated by Hafiz Saeed who is the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people. Earlier, in 2018, the US Department of Treasury named seven specially designated global terrorists.
This list includes MML president Saifullah Khalid, Muzammil Iqbal Sashimi, Harris Dhar, Tabish Qayyum, Fayyaz Ahmad, Faisal Nadeem, and Muhammad Ehsan. It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem won gold with a throw of 92.97 meters, breaking the previous Olympic record held by Denmark’s Andreas Thorkildsen in Beijing in 2008.
Nadeem’s performance included a final attempt of 91.79 meters, demonstrating his dominance in the event. On his second try, Nadeem hit a throw of 92.
