Set to open in 2025, the restaurant will feature specially curated items by a top industry innovator. Taste of Gold Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is set to receive a new restaurant called ‘Taste of Gold’, which is being developed by Olympic Gold medalist Simone Biles.

The star athlete is collaborating with The Playmakers Group, which was founded by industry pioneers from D&B Mitchell Group, a highly decorated SBEC and ACDBE-certified concessionaire with locations at DFW, IAH, PHX, and SFO airports. The restaurant will feature signature food and beverage items that have been curated by restaurant industry innovator Mark Brezinski. Through its offering, Taste of Gold plans to celebrate Biles’s awe-inspiring achievements.

Biles commented, “I am very excited to partner with The Playmakers Group and their dedicated team to help bring a new restaurant to my hometown airport. I am a foodie at heart, and our hope with Taste of Gold is to offer a beautiful dining experience that features award-winning, signature menu items with some of my favorite flavors sprinkled in for our guests.” Under construction in Terminal A The restaurant is currently under construction inside IAH Terminal A and will open near Gate A8.

As per the current schedule, it will be open to the public in the first quarter of 2025. While not a lot is currently known about the lounge, it will open at Terminal B at Houston Airport. The one at DEN is open daily between 7 AM and 8 PM and is great for travelers who want to grab snacks and recharge before their next flight.

The airline’s grab-and-go Club Fly is available to anyone with lounge access to the entire network. Simple Flying has examined this story in detail in the article below. The new lounge will be the second in the carrier's collection.
