ROCHESTER — Olmsted Medical Center will again offer sensory-friendly flu and COVID-19 vaccination appointments for individuals with autism and other sensory needs. "At OMC, we are committed to providing inclusive healthcare that meets the diverse needs of our community,” OMC's director of primary care Carrie Kranz said in a news release. "This sensory-friendly clinic allows us to create an environment where individuals with sensory sensitivities can receive their vaccinations in a calm and comfortable setting.

m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at OMC's Rochester Northwest Clinic at 5067 55 Street NW, will be held in a private, sensory-friendly area, with support tools and guidance from autism and disability experts available for patients and their families.

Sensory-friendly vaccination appointments can be scheduled by calling 507-292-7102. OMC first offered sensory-friendly appointments in 2023. This year's clinic will be held in collaboration with the RT Autism Awareness Foundation and the Autism Society of Minnesota.
