Olivia Rodrigo has responded after her song deja vu was used in President-elect Donald Trump 's TikTok video. The 20-year-old Grammy winner commented on the video, writing "ew don't use my sound ever again ty." The song was subsequently removed from the video, likely due to copyright claims, as Rodrigo holds partial ownership rights.
Rodrigo, the founder of the non-profit Fund 4 Good, has previously expressed views that contrast with Trump's political positions, particularly on reproductive rights. "I'm devastated and terrified," Rodrigo told a concert crowd, referring to the 2024 election results. "So many women and so many girls are going to die because of this.
I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have showed us that at the end of the day, they truly don't give a s--- about freedom." The 'good 4 u' singer has been vocal about her advocacy work through Fund 4 Good. "The fund will directly support community-based nonprofits that champion things like girls' education, support reproductive rights and prevent gender-based violence," Rodrigo said.
Earlier this year, Rodrigo made headlines by distributing contraceptives and Plan B at a St. Louis concert in collaboration with the Missouri Abortion Fund. DON'T MISS.
