OGAYA Travel is renowned for its intimate journeys that showcase Panama’s stunning natural beauty, rich ancestral culture, and authentic communities.

More than just luxury travel, OGAYA’s trips allow guests to form meaningful connections with the environment and local cultures. As part of its business model, OGAYA integrates philanthropy by directing a portion of its revenue to conservation and community initiatives. APTSO envisions using tourism as a driver for sustainable development in Panama.

Its focus is on building resilience against climate change by promoting projects that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) . These initiatives conserve Panama’s unique ecosystems and cultural heritage while empowering local communities. As part of this collaboration, OGAYA Travel will participate in APTSO’s tour operator program, focusing on two flagship community projects: Both projects highlight OGAYA’s commitment to regenerative travel, which aims to leave destinations better than they were found.

Through this partnership, OGAYA is strengthening its role as a leader in blending high-end tourism with meaningful, sustainable practices. OGAYA Travel and APTSO will showcase their work at the Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) in Panama in October 2024, where they will highlight the important role rural and indigenous communities play in environmental conservation and the preservation of Panama’s cultural heritage. Founded in 1990, the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) is the largest global network of adventure travel leaders.

The ATTA community includes approximately 30,000 members, ranging from tour operators and travel advisors to tourism boards, outdoor educators, and travel media.
