Prayagraj : Members of district road safety committee on Monday decided to identify new accident-prone areas , known as black spots, in the city. City Magistrate Vinod Kumar Singh has asked officials to undertake an exercise to identify black spots and take further measures accordingly. He also discussed installing signage boards, rubber strips, speed breakers, and lights at length.
Officials focused on taking measures to curb the graph of road accidents in terms of fatal and non-fatal categories and implement traffic safety rules in a strict manner. Under Road Safety Policy 4 E Enforcement, a discussion was held about the challans issued against various road violation cases. The City Magistrate has further directed the RTO and traffic police to launch a joint campaign to make the general public aware of traffic rules and take action like challan etc.
