Photo: Leon Farrell Aslan are preparing to record new music after the death of frontman and rock legend Christy Dignam last year, with the band eager to bring fans on a “new journey” with singer Lee Tomkins. Bandmates Billy McGuinness, Joe Jewell and Alan Downey had to decide whether Aslan, first formed in 1982, were “over” following the death of Dignam, who died in June of last year at the age of 63 following a long illness.
