Dorothy Sue Rose Dorothy Sue Rose, 90, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, at her home in the Hickory Woods Senior Living Community in Murray. Sue, along with her husband, James Rose, owned and operated Rose’s Wheel Alignment for 33 years.

She was of the Baptist faith and, along with her husband, shared a love for Sunday school and taught many children’s classes. She was born June 15, 1934, in Calloway County, Kentucky, to Lowell Walker and Zula May Walker. She was blessed with 64 years of happy marriage.



They were married Oct. 7, 1950, in Corinth, Mississippi. Survivors and descendants include one daughter, Jan Rose Wheeler and husband Lyndon of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Alisha Rose Niswonger and husband Chris of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Krisha Lynn Hutfilz and husband Florian of Bern, Switzerland; two beautiful great-granddaughters, Amelia Rose and Aurora Lilly Hutfilz; one devoted sister-in-law, Janice Rose and late brother-in-law, Jack Rose of Murray; two nephews, Andy Rose and wife Dawn of Atlanta, Georgia, and their sons, David and Danny Rose, and Jon Rose and wife Natalya of Nashville, Tennessee, and their children, George and Kseniya Rose; her brothers are the late Gerald Walker and wife Rose of Dexter, the late Joe Walker and wife Janette of Almo; a brother, Ronnie Walker and late wife Wanda of Murray; a brother, Billy Walker and wife Debbie of Murray; one late sister, Judy Mathis and late husband Tommy of Aurora; and many special nieces and nephews that loved their “Aunt Sue” dearly.

The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug.

17, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Brad Walker and Darrell Walker officiating.

Burial will follow in Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m.

Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements. Fern ‘Fernie’ Wanda Harding Mrs. Fern Wanda Harding, "Fernie", 93, of Murray, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House and is resting peacefully with our Lord.

Fern was born September 4, 1930 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Havre, Montana to Henry and Helen (Beilke) Pagel. She graduated from Havre High School in 1948. Fern married the love of her life, Jack Harding, on March 14, 1948 and together they had five children, Sandra, Barbara, Russell, Rachelle and Renee.

Fern and her husband, Jack, square danced for several years at the Grand Squares. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling with friends and she was an avid sports fan following the Cubs, Bears and Bulls and also loved the Memphis Grizzlies. Fern was a wife, homemaker, mother, and grandmother (Nana).

She loved to collect angels and anything American Indian. She was a member of LWML at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, judge of election, and a volunteer at St.

Mary's Hospital in Galesburg. Mrs. Harding is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Helen Pagel; her husband, Jack Harding; two daughters, Barbara Salley, Sandra Bennett and her sister, Genevieve Haugen.

In addition, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Bennett and a great granddaughter, Taylor Salley. Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include her children, Russell Harding of Spokane, WA, Rachelle (Guy) Harding of Galesburg, IL, and Renee (Tony) Ericson of Murray, KY. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Above all, she treasured her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Galesburg, IL.
