The New Zealand Television Awards TV Legend has also been named today, with Dame Julie Christie honoured this year for her work as a journalist and producer on shows from Treasure Island to Trading Places and Dragons’ Den . The award is given to a person, programme or organisation who has contributed significantly to Aotearoa’s television industry during their career, with the likes of director, writer and actor Oscar Kightley , TV producer Janine Morrell-Gunn , and director and actor Sir Ian Mune honoured in previous years.
