NYT Strands Today November 24, 2024 – Hints, Answers, Spangram: The New York Times published the first crossword puzzle on February 15, 1942, in the Sunday Magazine. The credit goes to Charles Erlenkotter for creating and Margaret Farrar for editing. The publication was the first major newspaper to introduce a crossword puzzle in that era.
Since then, the NYT has introduced several engaging games including the Mini Crossword in 2014, followed by Spelling Bee , Letter Boxed and Tiles.
