In a bid to facilitate construction activities associated with the Pinnacle development in Reading, St James, the National Works Agency (NWA) has installed a temporary traffic signal and filter lane in the vicinity of the development. The Pinnacle, a multi-story luxury residential development, is currently under construction. “The nature of the construction activities requires the use of large trucks entering and exiting the property,” NWA said in a press release today.
“In order to ensure the safety of commuters and facilitate the safe movement of these large units, a new traffic management system has been implemented along the targeted section of the corridor. The new system involves the creation of an access point to the development, from a section of the North Coast Highway.” According to Janel Ricketts, Community Relations Officer at the NWA Western Region, only commuters entering the Pinnacle development should turn at this intersection.
Ricketts said no U-turn movements will be allowed and urged commuters to obey the posted warning signs and the traffic signals, as failure to do so would put commuters at serious risk.
