Thursday, August 22, 2024 Norwegian Cruise Line® (NCL), a pioneer in global cruise travel, has announced an expansion of its 2026 spring/summer season, featuring a wide array of port-immersive European itineraries. The season includes 225 new voyages across Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Greek Isles, offering travelers diverse sailing lengths and embarkation ports to craft their ideal European getaway. Additionally, NCL is offering bucket-list itineraries through the South Pacific, Western Caribbean, Canada, and New England for those seeking other global destinations.

As part of its guest-focused itinerary planning, NCL is emphasizing seven-day European cruises with limited or no sea days, allowing guests to fully experience each destination. The itineraries also feature overnight stays in iconic cities like Reykjavik, Iceland; Copenhagen, Denmark; and Istanbul, Turkey, providing cruisers with 22 overnights in Europe to enjoy local dining and nightlife. With 11 unique embarkation ports across 10 European countries, including the introduction of Helsinki as a new homeport, NCL offers travelers flexible options to start and end their vacation in the destination of their choice.



Among the new European cruises, NCL will make its debut in Portree, Scotland; Leirvik (Stord), Norway; and Palamós, Spain. David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, stated, “At NCL, we pride ourselves on offering a variety of options for our guests to plan their perfect vacation.

Whether it’s a seven-day sailing, an immersive longer voyage, or a cruise beginning and ending in a new destination, we strive to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish.” Northern Europe: From June through October 2026, Norwegian Sun will offer a full Baltic season with seven- to ten-day sailings from Copenhagen, Denmark, or Helsinki. These itineraries include daily port visits in countries like Norway, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and Sweden.

On select nine-day voyages from Helsinki, guests will enjoy an overnight stay in Copenhagen, Denmark. Norwegian Sky will begin its second full Europe season on April 19, 2026, with unique seven-day sailings to Northern Capitals, embarking in Le Havre, France, and Copenhagen, Denmark. These cruises include overnight stays in Hamburg, Germany, and visits to Zeebrugge, Belgium; Tilbury, United Kingdom; and IJmuiden, Netherlands.

For those seeking long daylight hours in Iceland, Norwegian Star offers 10- or 11-day Extraordinary Journeys between May and September 2026, embarking in Reykjavik, Iceland, or Southampton, UK. These sailings feature overnight stays in Reykjavik and a debut visit to Leirvik (Stord), Norway, on May 21, 2026. Mediterranean and Greek Isles: Starting in April 2026 and running through October 2026, Norwegian Viva will offer nine- and ten-day Western Mediterranean and Greek Isles voyages, with overnight stays in Istanbul, Turkey.

These itineraries visit popular destinations in Turkey, Malta, Italy, Greece, Montenegro, and Croatia. Among the new seven-day Western Mediterranean sailings: Norwegian Pearl will also operate seven-day Greek Isles voyages from May 2026 through October 2026, with late departures in Santorini and Mykonos, Greece. Western Caribbean and Canada & New England: Norwegian Escape will offer seven-day roundtrip sailings to the Western Caribbean from New Orleans and Miami, visiting destinations such as Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico; Roatán, Honduras; and Harvest Caye, Belize.

In the fall, Norwegian Escape will also operate seven-day roundtrip Canada & New England voyages from New York City, including a debut call to Boston on August 28, 2026. Immersive Voyages with Norwegian Spirit®: From April through November 2026, Norwegian Spirit will offer South Pacific sailings between 11 and 13 days, visiting New Caledonia, Fiji, Samoa, French Polynesia, and Hawaii. Embarkation ports include Sydney; Papeete, French Polynesia; Honolulu; and Lautoka, Fiji.

For those seeking a once-in-a-lifetime cruising experience, Norwegian Spirit will also offer “Fire and Ice” voyages between Hawaii and Alaska, with sailings starting on July 15, 2026, and visiting destinations like Kahului, Hilo, and Nawiliwili, Hawaii, as well as Ketchikan, Skagway, and Juneau, Alaska.
