Friday, September 20, 2024 Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has unveiled its latest vessel, Norwegian Luna , set to debut in March 2026 . Open for bookings, this ship marks the 21st addition to NCL’s fleet and will offer seven-day Caribbean voyages from Miami, promising an enhanced cruise experience with cutting-edge amenities and exciting itineraries. As the sister ship to Norwegian Aqua , which is scheduled to launch in 2025, Norwegian Luna represents the next evolution of NCL’s Prima Plus Class .

The ship measures nearly 322 meters in length and can accommodate around 3,550 guests , reflecting a 10% size increase compared to the earlier Prima Class ships, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva. Built by the esteemed Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri , its design features contributions from renowned architects such as AD Associates, Rockwell Group, and Piero Lissoni. Starting in April 2026 , Norwegian Luna will embark on two Western Caribbean itineraries, stopping at popular destinations like Roatan Island in Honduras, Costa Maya, Cozumel in Mexico, and Harvest Caye in Belize.

It will also cruise to Eastern Caribbean locations, including Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), Tortola (British Virgin Islands), St. Thomas (U.S.

Virgin Islands), and NCL’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, which will have a new pier by late 2025. Passengers can look forward to the ship’s exclusive Aqua Slidecoaster , a hybrid waterslide and rollercoaster, as well as the Glow Court , a versatile sports complex that transforms into a nightclub. Additional NCL favorites like The Drop , a thrilling 10-story free-fall slide, and The Stadium , an outdoor activities area, will also be featured.

Norwegian Luna’s hull will showcase stunning artwork by acclaimed street artist ELLE , inspired by the reflection of moonlight on the ocean. Titled La Luna , this piece visually explores humanity’s connection to celestial forces. The ship will also introduce luxurious accommodations, including the Three-Bedroom Duplex Haven Suites , which offer exclusive access to The Haven by Norwegian —a keycard-only complex featuring 24-hour butler service, an infinity pool, and a private lounge.
