Norse Atlantic Airways has announced it will launch a new direct service between Stockholm and Bangkok next winter, its first-ever flights from Sweden. The twice-weekly route will begin in October 2025, served by Norse's two-class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet. Jonas Abrahamsson, President and CEO of Stockholm Airport's operator Swedavia, commented, "There is great confidence in the Swedish air travel market and Norse’s investment in a direct route from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Int’l is a clear sign of this. Norse will play an important role in connecting Sweden to Thailand." Stockholm will become Norse's second route to Bangkok since the launch of its Oslo (OSL) to Bangkok service in early November 2023.
Since its launch, Norse Atlantic has seen high demand and decided to extend the route into the summer 2024 season - it currently operates two weekly roundtrips between Oslo and Bangkok, with flights on Thursdays and Saturdays. Its upcoming Stockholm flight will run until the end of the winter season, but there's always the chance Norse chooses to extend flights into the summer too.
