He attended Santa Cruz High School and Monterey Peninsula College. Norman served in the US Army working in France and Germany. He worked for Big Trees Press, Watsonville Press, and JC Paper Company.
Norman had several interests including golf, photography, creating beautiful wall hangings of places visited, traveling to the South Pacific, motorcycling, boating, and enjoying sports with his sons and grandsons. Norman attended Twin Lakes Church and was a member of the Elks, Lyons, and Moose Club.Norman is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sandra Gillette.
He is also survived by his sons David Gillette and Doug Gillette; granddaughters Kayla Gillette and Emily Gillette; grandsons Ryan Gillette, Matthew Gillette, and Joseph Gillette. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Gillette; his father Russell Gillette and his mother Elizabeth Gillette.Interment will be private.
