People my age - 40-plus - are told to dress a little better and also dye their hair as the whites are making you ‘look like an old man’. Mind you, I have no intention of doing this. It is what it is.

I do find it a little strange that other people do this. Don't get me wrong, people can dress however they want if it makes them feel good. But I mean what is the point of blackening one’s hair jet black when the rest of you has clearly aged? It just looks so false.



Who are you fooling? That does mean one should look like a complete scruff but we have a whole load of guys in their 50s and 60s dressing like they did in their 20s. It puzzles me. What is the point? The designs and clothes are meant for the younger generation.

We have reached the ‘forgotten age’. The marketing teams don’t want us to go out and buy these clothes because when we wear them we are doing a disservice to the garment. Look, there comes a time when no matter what you wear you will still look like an old man.

You can try your best to dress in fancy shorts and designer clothes but age has finally caught up with you and it is best to let nature take its course. I do sense they are being pressured to look like this or still yearn for that time when we were youthful, and I admit, it is hard to let go. In our minds when we look in the mirror, we still see that young chap who was sprinting down the left wing at Pleasington Rec.
