Patna: CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday inspected the construction work of the new Patna Collectorate building and directed the officials to expedite the completion of the project. During the inspection, building construction department secretary Kumar Ravi told the CM that the new collectorate building will not only be earthquake-resistant, but will also have environment friendly features . Expressing satisfaction over the construction work, the CM said: “The river Ganga in the north and Gandhi Maidan in the south add to the beauty to the new collectorate building.

” The CM asked the officials to install solar plates on the roof of the new building . He said the new collectorate building would house all the offices of the district administration under one roof, providing ease of delivery of services to the people. A report from the CM office said the main building will have separate entrance gates for different departments while the collectorate will have a total of five floors in addition to the basement and ground floor.



It added that the entire collectorate premises will have 205 open parking and 240 basement parking space even as all standard norms are being followed in the premises from the security point of view. Building construction minister Jayant Raj, Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Kumar Jha and principal secretaries to the CM and several district administration officials accompanied the CM during the inspection.
