Recently, Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon and rapper Badshah made an appearance on Billionaire entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath’s podcast. At one point in their conversation, Kamath said, “I hear Bollywood is not working right now,” to which Sanon immediately replied, “You still hear that? I think it’s doing great now.” Kamath then said, “No, it’s not.

I don’t think so.” At this point, Badshah chimed in and said, “Why is it not working though? What do you mean?” while Sanon said, “My last two films did pretty well,” referring to Crew and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya . A user shared the clip with the caption, “Kriti Sanon hasn’t touched grass in a while.

” Kriti sanon hasn't touched grass in a while 🤣😭 pic.twitter.com/yRS5ZA8Cqh — arshad warsi zindabad (@doug_1399) August 25, 2024 Kamath, a successful businessman who understands whether industries are working or not much better than actors, immediately retorted, “I’ll give you an example.

Like, I’m a small part of a couple of companies. Occupancy rates in multiplexes are lower than where they were five years ago. It’s harder for talent in Bollywood to make as much money as they did a couple of years ago.

It’s harder for the number of people that Bollywood used to once employ, for the same number of people to be employed today. The odds of the movie succeeding may have been x percentage; now it’s lower than x percentage.” But both Sanon and Badshah argued against Kamath stating verifiable facts.

Sanon said, “That’s also because there are many more films getting made today,” while Badshah added, “So, it’s not working as well as it used to. I think it’s a lot more democratic.” Kamath then said, “Also less profitable now.

” Sanon, in the end, replied, “The expectation of the profit – what used to be earlier – making 100 crore used to be a big deal; the expectation has gone somewhere else also. There was a phase where it (Bollywood) was not (working), but I feel like theaters are back, and how now.” Credit to Kamath that he didn't walk out— arshad warsi zindabad (@doug_1399) August 25, 2024 badshah trying to get into d conversation pic.

One user on X wrote, “Credit to Kamath that he didn't walk out,” while another user mocked Badshah with a meme of a polar bear in Arizona with the caption ‘What’s a polar bear doing in Arizona,’ and wrote, “Badshah trying to get into the conversation.” Another person tweeted, “I'm second hand embarrassed,” while another user, mocking Badshah, said, “Badshah using ‘democratic’ for absolutely no reason just to sound like he said something serious.” See Also: Kriti Sanon Reveals She Doesn't Have A Friend To Call In Bollywood After 10 Years In The Industry: Watch.
