This project revives an idea first proposed by former Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi, which was delayed during the tenure of Senator Hadi Sirika, who relocated the FAAN headquarters to Abuja. The decision to move the headquarters back to Lagos under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has brought the initiative back into focus.
