Inner city pub bags itself another couple of world-famous customers Shay Duignan with Ed Sheeran and Niall Horan in the Hacienda, off Dublin’s Capel Street Niall Horan and Ed Sheeran on stage at Kilmainham Lewis Capaldi, Aaron Rowe, Ed Sheeran and James Blunt in the Hacienda Dublin’s “secret” hideaway for the stars, The Hacienda Bar on Little Mary Street, played host to a couple of well-known musical faces on Friday night. Fresh from his sold-out show at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Niall Horan brought along pal Ed Sheeran to meet the legendary owner of the northside night spot, Shay Duignan, who welcomed the musical duo to his speakeasy. Posting on social media, Shay wrote: “Great to welcome Ed Sheeran and Niall Horan to the Hacienda last night.

It was a wonderful night and it was also special to welcome James Blunt and Lewis Capaldi.” In the picture that will join the numerous others dotted along its hallowed walls, Shay is joined by the One Direction star, who had earlier delighted fans by introducing his “good friend” Sheeran, who joined him on stage. Niall Horan and Ed Sheeran on stage at Kilmainham Horan who was back in Dublin to play two nights this weekend, is currently on his Show tour, his biggest yet, as he performs songs from all three of his solo albums.



Horan said: “He loves this country dearly and made his way across from England today to be here with us tonight. Can you please give it up for my good friend, the great Ed Sheeran.” The pair sang Horan’s hit song Little Things, with both playing the guitar.

Sheeran took to Instagram after the show and shared a photo to his stories of himself drinking a pint of Guinness wearing a green ‘Dublin is for Lovers’ T-shirt. The lads were just the latest in a long line of famous faces who sought out the city’s favourite haunt of the stars. Taylor Swift booked out the Hacienda speakeasy bar in the capital after her trio of sold-out concerts at the Aviva stadium earlier this summer.

We revealed how inside the bar there are pictures of owner Shay with dozens of celebrities who’ve enjoyed a tipple in the pub. The imposing white coloured three-storey pub is located on little known Little Mary Street in the north inner city, which is within walking distance of Capel Street on one side and Smithfield on the other.

Some of the stars have individual framed promotional type pictures on the walls, many of them signed. Among the well-known faces pictured on the walls, having obviously visited the boozer, are The Stokes, Damien Dempsey, Domhnall Gleeson, Saoirse Ronan, Brian O’Driscoll, Hozier, Gavin James, Kate Beckinsale, Glen Hansard, Kings of Leon, Fontaines D.C.

, Jason Patric, Camille O’Sullivan, Jack Gleeson, Jennifer Zamparelli, Anna Friel, Erasure, Bronagh Gallagher and Barry Keoghan. Former taoiseach Leo Varadkar chose the bar to host a 30th birthday party several years ago for partner Matt Barrett..
