Natabua High School ascended back to the royalty crown after winning the Weet-Bix Raluve under-18 title. The Lautoka-based school first did it in 2022 and have done it again two years later in Suva, defeating Adi Cakobau School 20-15. Laisani Mudunalalawa played an instrumental game for Natabua as she led from up front.

She had a hand in all their tries in and was in the thick of things when they were forced to defend. ACS mounted a comeback with two tries in the second spell but it wasn’t enough as time wasn’t on their side. “I’m just proud of the girls.

They have done the hard yards in Lautoka with preparation and they showcased how hard they worked and they deserve the win,” said head coach Inoke Vucago. Vucago said they did not want to feel the pain of losing like they did last year. “They knew how painful it was losing last year in the quarters and they were the inaugural champions.

“We made a promise to get the cup back and they did just that,” he added . The beauty of the team is in their development, fielding players from year nine to year 13 as they eye the future..
