Federal prosecutors have accused Adams of engaging in a years-long conspiracy involving illegal foreign campaign donations, wire fraud, and accepting bribes, including from Turkish officials, in exchange for political favours. The 57-page indictment alleges that Adams accepted luxury gifts and solicited illegal contributions dating back to his time as Brooklyn’s borough president.
