Developed by Badri Rai And Company (BRC), this 36-kilometer road cost over ₹78 crore to complete and connects Damra in Assam to Bajengdoba in Meghalaya. Previously, this journey would take around 1.5 hours, but now, with the new road, it can be completed in just 45 minutes.

The road has been designed for durability, offering a long-lasting, smooth, and pothole-free experience for motorists. This upgrade is particularly beneficial for residents of North Garo Hills (NGH), providing a more efficient connection to Assam. The construction of this road began in 2020, but faced several delays.
