Friday, August 16, 2024 Trip.com Group , a prominent global travel service provider, has officially launched its Asia Live Streaming Centre at its Bangkok office. The inauguration event included representatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand and key business partners.

This new livestreaming centre is designed to deliver daily content, highlighting Thailand’s rich tourism offerings. The establishment of the Asia Live Streaming Centre represents a major advancement in the Group’s content marketing efforts. It seeks to provide travelers with top-tier inspiration and exclusive deals through livestreaming, transforming the way partners and consumers engage to drive growth in the tourism sector.

The move has the potential to elevate travel in the Asia region to new heights, as we leverage the power of livestreaming to engage with passionate travellers.” The Asia Live Streaming Centre will act as the Group’s regional hub, initially broadcasting daily content in Thai on Trip.com Thailand’s social media channels, with plans to expand to English for international audiences.

The Group aims to collaborate with hotels, local attractions, and businesses in Thailand to feature various travel products and deals. The livestreams will spotlight high-quality offerings, including those listed on Trip.Best, a ranking platform on Trip.

com that helps global travelers discover the best experiences a destination has to offer. This livestreaming content will also enhance visibility and provide additional sales avenues for our business partners, complementing the Group’s existing marketing strategies, which include mega sales, exclusive partnerships with Thai social influencers, and food tourism campaigns—all part of a comprehensive, one-stop marketing solution. Exciting promotions for Trip.

com’s double-digit mega sales campaigns on 9 September, 11 November, and beyond will be highlighted in the livestreams. The Group plans to extend this livestream content to its Trip.com sites across Southeast Asia, with rollouts expected in Q1 2025.

The long-term vision is to expand this livestreaming initiative to other markets where the format continues to grow in popularity. The strategic launch of this new livestreaming hub in Thailand leverages the country’s well-established livestreaming ecosystem and diverse travel offerings, reinforcing Trip.com Group’s leadership in tourism-focused livestreaming.

In 2023, the “Super World Trip” livestream series launched in Thailand, selling over 20,000 hotel room nights. Subsequent livestreams in Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, and Hong Kong also fueled significant inbound travel demand. This effort is part of the Group’s BOSS Live Series, spearheaded by Trip.
