A New Hampshire resident has died after testing positive for Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus. The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services Division of Public Health Services identified the individual as an adult from Hampstead. The resident was hospitalized due to several central nervous system disease.
The last reported Eastern Equine Encephalitis infection in the state was ten years ago..
