Under this agreement, Hilton will continue managing the property, which will undergo a transformative redevelopment by its owners as part of Munich’s mixed-use Tucherpark project. As an integral component of the new Tucherpark, Hilton Munich Park will play a pivotal role in the development of this innovative circular city project led by the Commerz Real and Hines joint venture. The project will seamlessly integrate residential, retail, office, and hospitality spaces, establishing a vibrant new community and destination.
The reimagined Hilton Hotels & Resorts property will serve as a central hub within Tucherpark, offering a lively environment for guests, residents, shoppers, and professionals alike. Since its debut during the Munich Olympic Games, Hilton Munich Park has been a premier destination, strategically located next to the English Gardens, one of the world’s largest inner-city parks. The planned redevelopment aims to further harmonize the hotel with its natural surroundings, aligning with Tucherpark’s vision of merging urban convenience with natural beauty.
The transformation process will commence following the hotel’s closure on December 31, 2024, with completion targeted for 2029. The redevelopment plans for Hilton Munich Park include the addition of a rooftop restaurant and bar offering panoramic views of the English Gardens, as well as new dining options, a central bar, and retail space on the ground floor. The meeting spaces will be redesigned to accommodate a larger ballroom and introduce an unconventional city garden venue, catering to the rising demand for event spaces.
