Friday, August 30, 2024 The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway’s first phase opens in November, featuring 19 kilometers of modern elevated road to ease travel between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. The initial segment of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, stretching from Akshardham to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE), is slated to open to the public by November. This new 32-kilometer section, featuring 19 kilometers of elevated roadway, aims to alleviate congestion between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

The expressway’s design includes a six-lane service road for local traffic and an elevated lane to facilitate smooth long-distance travel. The expressway connecting Delhi to Uttar Pradesh features seven access points: Akshardham, Geeta Colony, Shamshan Ghat (Kailash Nagar), Sonia Vihar, Vijay Vihar, and Mandola. Travelers can exit the expressway at Mandola, Sonia Vihar, Vijay Vihar, and Khajuri Chowk.



For those traveling from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi, entry points are available at Mandola, Vijay Vihar, and 5th Pushta, with exits at Mandola, Loni, Vijay Vihar, Usmanpur, Shamshan Ghat (Kailash Nagar), Geeta Colony, and Akshardham. Note that there will be no toll charges for vehicles entering or exiting the expressway in Delhi..
