The railways will introduce a Vande Bharat Sleeper Train in the Delhi - Srinagar route in a few months. If all goes well, the train will be launched in January 2025. An 800 km service that will be covered in 13 hours departs Delhi at 7 pm and reaches Srinagar at 8 am the next day.

If the service goes well, it will likely be extended to Baramulla, the gateway to popular tourist spots like Pahalgam and Gulmarg. The train will have AC 3 Tier (3A), AC 2 Tier (2A), and AC First Class (1A).
